Miss Desiree (Director)
My name is Desiree Wickham.
I have over 30 years of experience in early childhood education. I’ve worked with children in early education ages infant through school age. I hold a Bachelors in Elementary education from Liberty University and hold certification in infant /toddler/ preschool and now director through EEC.
Outside of work, I am busy mom of three. My daughters are currently 12(Ivy) and I have 10-year-old twins (Bree & Rylee). I enjoy hiking, Sports, karaoke, dancing and cooking. Which helps me stay balanced and inspired.
My philosophy as a director is built around open communication, teamwork, and respect. I believe that when parents and educators work together, children thrive. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education and care. I’m looking forward to an amazing year together!

Miss Kylie
I’m Miss Kylie, I’m 30 years old and I have been working in the professional childcare field since 2015. I am the Assistant Director here at MSLA Wakefield, but prior to my administration role I worked in the classroom as a Pre-K teacher for 10 years!
I attended Bridgewater State University, graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in 2018. Following my time at BSU, I attended Salem State University graduating with my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2023. I’ve always been someone who naturally connects with children. If it was babysitting, coaching, or helping out at local childcare programs, I believe in creating a space where children feel safe, celebrated, and excited to learn each and every day. I knew early on that working with children was what I was meant to do — and that passion has only grown stronger over time.
Outside of MSLA, you’ll most likely find me hanging out with my family and friends, planning my next vacation, or cuddling on the couch with my kittens Parmesan and Noodle! Caring for children isn’t just my job — it’s part of who I am. Whether I’m in the classroom, coaching cheerleading, or spending time with my younger cousins (Stella, Sadi, and Saylor), I’m always surrounded by little ones and loving every minute of it!
From collaborating with families, mentoring teachers, or jumping into a classroom for a spontaneous dance party, I bring my whole heart to every part of my work. My goal is to foster a warm, inspiring environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn — and where teachers feel empowered to shine. One guiding principle I share with my students and staff is: “Always leave every situation, space, and person a little better than you found them.”
At the end of the day, we aren’t just here to help children become better learners; we are guiding them on the path to becoming better people. That’s why I love what I do so much!

Miss Lisa
I’m Miss Lisa. I have been working in the early childhood education field since 2019. Throughout my time in this field, I have worked with every age group, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Along with being Lead Teacher certified through EEC, I am also Director I & II certified. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently completing a master’s degree in Advanced Studies of Early Childhood Education.
My passion for teaching goes beyond just education. I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow in a developmentally appropriate way. I also believe in building strong, collaborative relationships with families to ensure each child receives the best possible support and care.
Outside of the classroom, I have two young children of my own. Most of my time is spent at my children’s sporting events. When I do have free time, you will find me in the kitchen baking or out on a trail dirt biking with my husband. (I love a good adventure!)

Ms. Jessica
My name is Jessica May.
I have 17 years’ experience in the Early Childhood education field. I’ve worked with infants through kindergarten. I have taken courses in early Ed and psychology from NECC.
Outside MSLA I am a mother, I have a son named Carter. I enjoy going to his soccer games, taking our dogs for walks, baking, crocheting, going to the beach and vacationing to new places.
I believe children need a space to create4, thrive and learn. I really enjoy seeing light bulb moments happen in the classroom, which are when they recognize or recall something you have helped them learn. Which is one of the many reasons why I enjoy teaching!
